Energy Storage Control

The PV Supernode controller offers advanced energy storage control functions, enabling precise management of energy flows between the photovoltaic installation, the energy storage system, local loads, and the power grid. The system dynamically adapts storage operation to changing market conditions, the facility’s consumption profile, and grid operator requirements, supporting energy efficiency, reduction of operating costs, and stable integration of renewable energy sources.

Energy storage control enables optimal management of energy charging and discharging processes, increased self-consumption, loss reduction, and active response to changes in energy prices and power grid operating conditions.

The system uses historical data, real-time measurements, and market signals to forecast energy demand and the availability of renewable generation. Based on this, it automatically controls charging and discharging processes of the energy storage system, performing energy arbitrage and optimizing costs in real time. Full automation of energy management processes allows dynamic adjustment of consumption and production to changing conditions such as energy prices, facility load profiles, and current availability of renewable energy—without the need for manual operator intervention.

Safety and Reliability

Monitoring, alarm, and fault-handling mechanisms ensure system continuity and operational safety of the installation.

Regulatory Compliance

Compliance with applicable standards and regulations related to energy management and storage, including international standards (e.g., ISO) and European Union regulations.

Intelligent Real-Time Control

Dynamic adjustment of system operation to current operating conditions, energy production, demand, and grid parameters.

Integration with External Data

Ability to use real-time market data (e.g., energy prices) to optimize system performance.

Schedule-Based Management

Planning device operation and energy flows based on defined time schedules tailored to the facility’s consumption profile.

Scalability and Flexibility

Ability to expand the system with additional components (storage units, sources, metering points) without rebuilding the entire infrastructure.

Advanced Data Analytics and Reporting

Comprehensive monitoring and reporting functions enabling detailed analysis of energy consumption, storage operation, and overall system efficiency.
