PV Link

A device that ensures the compliance of the inverter with the requirements of the Instruction of the Transmission Network Operation and Maintenance (IRiESD).

PV Link is a universal controller dedicated to photovoltaic farms. The device makes it possible to monitor and control the operation of a photovoltaic installation according to the SunSpec protocol, via an RS485 interface.

PV Link acts as an ‘integrator’, fulfilling the requirements contained in the Instruction of the Transmission Network Operation and Maintenance (IRiESD) regarding the supervision of the operation of photovoltaic installations by the Distribution Network Operator (DSO).

Device features:

  • Has two RS485 connectors with isolation – one for the inverter or inverters, the other for the Distribution Network Operator.
  • Allows connectivity to one or more inverters, from one or more manufacturers.
  • The Wi-Fi connection allows selection of the inverter model and access to the current inverter operating parameters, as well as updating of the system software (firmware).
  • DIN rail mounting possible.
  • Power supply 7-36 VDC.
  • Operating temperature -40°C to +75°C.
  • For plant expansions up to 150kW, PV Link provides IRIESD compliance.

PV Link provides compliance with OSD requirements for inverter control, that is, it implements the command to completely stop generation or resume generation, as well as smooth active power control.

Important!

Some inverters only have one RS485 port. This can only be used to communicate with one external device at a time. This means that the use of a WiFi Stick (so-called WiFi dongle) does not allow for the connection of a second device (in particular a PV Link) communicating with the inverter, as the design of the inverter does not allow for this.
